Aid operations need urgent funding in north Africa's Sahel region where five million children face the prospect of acute malnutrition, UN humanitarian agency OCHA said on Wednesday.
Jess Deady's insight:
Malnutrition is a global issue. Countries that lack resources such as food are obviously going to have under nourished and poorly fed children and adults. Unfortunately there are not many ways to help without money. In order for these children to be fed properly organizations have to start coming up with better and more efficient ways to raise money for food.
